What datasets?
I'm looking at the datasets listed from the DOC specifically, and I can't really find anything good.

On the challenge details it says the app might possibly help businesses find funding, get training and expand their businesses. I would love to create an app that does this, but I can't find an relavant datasets. A push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Alex - try here: http://www.data.gov/communities/node/244/data_tools, which is linked from http://www.data.gov/business
Many of the datasets are labled DOC/[bureau] so that's why you're initial search above didn't turn up all available options.
Also, don't forget to see here - http://docbusinessapps.challenge.gov/details/about - for many good data repositories.
